I am currently recruiting on behalf of a leading events and experiential agency based in Stockport, just outside Manchester, UK. With over a decade of industry experience, they have earned a stellar reputation for delivering extraordinary events and unforgettable experiences. Their dedicated team of professionals is passionate about creating immersive and engaging experiences that leave a lasting impact.

As a full-service agency, they offer a wide range of services tailored to meet the unique needs of their clients. From conceptualisation to execution, they handle every aspect of event management, ensuring seamless and memorable experiences. Their expertise spans across corporate conferences, product launches, brand activations, experiential marketing campaigns, and more.

Job Description: As the Pitch and Marketing Manager, you will play a vital role in driving the growth of their brand by developing innovative pitches and implementing effective marketing strategies. Working closely with the sales, creative, and account management teams, you will transform pitch briefs into captivating proposals that showcase their unique capabilities. Your exceptional communication skills, strategic mindset, and attention to detail will ensure their pitch responses align with client objectives, exceed expectations, and deliver a genuine return on investment. Additionally, you will manage and enhance their marketing efforts to support their overall business and marketing strategy.

The experience we need.

  • Prior experience in leading pitches and developing creative proposals, preferably within the events or marketing agency industry.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail and copy checking.
  • Exceptional organisational, prioritisation, and time management skills to meet project deadlines.
  • A proactive and self-motivated attitude, with the ability to take on responsibility and work effectively under pressure.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and develop strong relationships with cross-functional teams.
  • Understanding of client budgets and the ability to align proposals accordingly.
  • Familiarity with marketing asset production and traffic management, ensuring high-quality standards are maintained.
  • Event and marketing agency experience is required.
  • Ability to think critically, connect operational and strategic dots, and identify efficiencies in the pitching process.

The role.

  • Collaborating with the sales, creative, and account teams to develop outstanding pitch responses that align with client briefs and business objectives.
  • Crafting creative proposals for events, brand activations, and creative communications, ensuring they push the boundaries and demonstrate added value.
  • Coordinating with various internal teams, including strategy and engagement, studio, digital, production, and accounts, to gather the necessary input for pitch development.
  • Maintaining a thorough understanding of the creative process and production involved in pitching.
  • Ensuring consistent attention to detail, organisational excellence, and effective communication while working under pressure and meeting tight deadlines.
  • Conducting client-facing interactions, including taking briefs, Q&A sessions, presentations, and pitches, showcasing your expertise and building strong relationships.
  • Overseeing the creation and output of marketing assets, including client campaign materials, case studies, awards submissions, social content, and press releases.
  • Monitoring and maintain best practices for pitch development, challenge existing ways of working, and create/refresh pitch process templates as needed.
  • Collaborating with the Strategy and Engagement team to align marketing efforts with the overall marketing strategy and brand image.
  • Managing budgets for pitches and proposals, working closely with internal teams, as well as external partners and suppliers when required.
