Payroll Officer
Location: Braintree - Hybrid 1 or 2 days a week in the office
Salary: £12.70 to £14.30 per hour
Contract: Full Time, Temporary (6 - 9 months)
we are recruiting a Payroll Officer for a temporary period of 6 to 9 months. This role involves delivering an accurate payroll service for multiple stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Run end-to-end payroll processes, maintain records, and manage payroll queries.
- Process changes such as starters, leavers, and statutory/occupational leave (sickness, maternity, paternity).
- Administer salary deductions (HMRC, pensions, union fees, etc.) and ensure compliance with financial regulations.
- Maintain group inboxes and provide service support when needed.
Requirements:
- Payroll processing experience.
- Familiarity with gross-to-net calculations, HMRC requirements, and deadlines.
- iTrent experience (desirable but not essential).
- Strong numeracy, literacy, and IT skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a small team, with excellent communication and organisational skills.
