School Cleaner

- Job Type: Part-time
- Working Hours: 3:30pm - 6:30pm, Monday to Friday
We are seeking a dedicated School Cleaner to join our team in Walthamstow, East London. This part-time role is ideal for someone who takes pride in maintaining a clean and safe environment for our students and staff.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Perform general cleaning duties such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming to ensure all areas of the school are clean and tidy.
- Clean and sanitise restrooms using established practices and procedures.
- Empty all trash cans and replace liners, clean receptacles as necessary.
- Dust and clean classroom desks, furniture, and fixtures.
- Maintain the cleanliness of windows, glass partitions, and mirrors.
- Ensure all cleaning equipment is maintained and stored correctly.
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the appropriate personnel.
- Follow all health and safety regulations.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a cleaning role is preferred but not essential.
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies.
- Familiarity with Material Safety Data Sheets.
- Ability to handle heavy equipment and machinery used in cleaning.
- Ability to walk, bend, push, pull and lift repetitively during working hours.
- Knowledge of cleaning techniques and work ethic.
- Good organisational skills and the ability to work independently.
