Gleeson Recruitment Group are pleased to be working with one of the Midlands biggest retailers to recruit for a Senior Brand and Creative Manager on a permanent, full time basis.

Job title: Senior Brand and Creative Manager

Location: Redditch

Salary: £50,000-£65,000

Start date: July - September 2024

Contract: Full time, permanent, hybrid (3 days office based)

The role:

In this role you will lead a team of 4 and direct on brand and content strategy across the entire of the retail group. You will be responsible for leading the delivery of all creative content including instore and digital. We are looking for a candidate who can be a brand ambassador as well as a strategically minded creative who can manage a team and agencies on nationwide delivery.

Responsibilities:

  • Define and execute brand and own brand strategy to drive differentiation and improve brand metrics through the funnel (from awareness to product adoption).
  • Develop and implement content strategy, leading and aligning internal and external content developers to deliver verbal and visual creative assets across various channels, reaching target audiences with relevant and compelling stories.
  • Develop and deliver key strategic campaigns (seasonal, promotional, category-specific) to drive brand awareness and customer consideration.
  • Lead an in-house team of creatives - including copywriters, photographers, videographers, designers, and packaging print specialists.
  • Own and manage key relationships with agency partners - brand agencies, creative agencies, print & production specialists. Indirect support for media, social & PR agencies.
  • Act as brand guardian through brand management and support across the group for brands including customer-facing teams, internal teams, and corporate entities.
  • Develop strong cross-functional relationships with key stakeholders within marketing: performance marketing, go-to-market teams, CRM, and loyalty teams.
  • Support customer teams including insight, online UI/UX, and e-commerce.
  • Influence outside of direct line responsibility, especially with commercial functions and buyers to align on range changes, supplier relationships, and media/channel strategy.

Candidate Criteria:

  • Experience in a similar marketing role, preferably in the retail industry.
  • Experience driving active brand preference within a competitive consumer business.
  • Experience leading complex projects with multiple cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Clear, collaborative communication style with a knack for fostering meaningful stakeholder relationships.
  • Strong commercial acumen.
  • Proven expertise in using data-driven insights to inform brand and creative direction.
  • Ability to lead a diverse team of creatives, providing guidance and clarity on objectives and execution.
  • Lead agency partners from strategists and planners to creatives and production.
  • Create, communicate, and measure performance against plans, demonstrating clear ROI.
  • Ability to influence at a senior level.
