Our client are a leading manufacturer of precision parts for the aerospace industry. They are looking to add a Commercial Account Manager to their team on a permanent basis. This would be a great fit for a meticulous individual who enjoys challenge and variety in their day to day.

The Commercial Account Manager is responsible for cultivating and maintaining strong customer relationships with Tier 1 and Tier 2 Aerospace OEMs. As such this important role will ensure open communication links are always maintained and act as the internal "Voice of the Customer" for all customer and commercial related issues.

A key part of the role involves key account and contract management, in particular contractual compliance, business development, whilst working with the senior team to expedite solutions and maximise commercial opportunities. This role will also work very closely with the Planning function to effectively communicate any supply issues to our customers, ensuring conformity to contract performance measures and reporting regular updates to the executive team.

The role includes managing, quoting, and closing customer enquiries strictly in line with company policy, as well as the regular reporting of KPIs, tracking to budget and forecasts and other commercial information as and when required. The Account Manager is expected to represent the company at customer review meetings and coordinate resultant actions across the organisation.

Knowledge & Experience

The successful candidate will have minimum 3 years prior account management experience within an engineering or manufacturing environment.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to maintain effective relationships with internal and external customers at an executive level.
  • Negotiation skills
  • Demonstrated organisational and multi-tasking skills.
  • Advanced computer skills with experience in using the Microsoft Office Suite of products in particular outstanding skills in Excel.
  • Confident with the ability to lead.

Working Hours:

  • Monday to Thursday 8am to 4:15pm
  • Friday - 8am to 3pm
