Assistant Accountant, Woking, to £ 35k with Hybrid + Parking
This is a great opportunity for studying (AAT / ACCA / CIMA) Assistant Accountant level looking for a varied finance job. Reporting to the FC, you will be tasked with providing financial reporting and accounting support. The job will suit someone keen to add value and progress in a fast-paced business environment.
Using Sage and producing work for a number of business units, duties will include:
- Month end accounting to deadlines
- Balance sheet reconciliation
- Accruals & prepayments
- Raising sales invoices
- Provide support to accounts payable
- Updating the aged debtors schedules
- Monitor and action credit control inboxes and process invoice requests
- Liaising with customers to chase overdue payments
- Produce month end and payroll journals
- Calculate / post the monthly bonus and salary accruals
- Process company credit cards
- Prepare & check self-bill invoices
- Analysis of various items (subscriptions, repairs, maintenance etc)
- Fleet accounting
- Aid in continual process improvement
The successful candidate will adapt well to change and have a desire to learn and progress, be able to develop and maintain relationships with staff at all levels (both in and out of finance). They will have a strong work ethic and be able to work independently and produce work to a high standard.
This job will suit a part qualified (AAT / ACCA / CIMA) in an Accounts Assistant / Assistant Accountant type role keen to continue their studies.
