Job Requirements for this Teaching Assistant role in Birmingham:
- GCSE qualifications (or equivalent) at Grade C and above in English and Mathematics
- Relevant NVQ Level 3 qualification (or equivalent)
- Experience working with young people with special educational needs, particularly those with social, emotional, and/or mental health disabilities
- Ability to collaborate within a team to deliver high-quality services for children and students
- Creativity and initiative in addressing the intricate needs of children
- Flexible and reflective approach
- Commitment to ensuring top-notch teaching, efficient resource utilisation, and enhanced learning and achievement standards for all pupils
This role involves:
- Working with pupils aged Year 4 to Year 11 with social, emotional, and mental health difficulties
- Providing individualised support for the personal development of children and young people
- Conducting interventions with small groups of pupils to support academic, behavioural, and social progress
- Promoting the progress and well-being of individual pupils and their respective class or tutor groups
