Litigation Paralegal

Are you an enthusiastic and self-motivated individual with a passion for property litigation? Our client, and excellent law firm, based in East London, are seeking a Paralegal to join their busy litigation and dispute resolution team, working across a broad spectrum of business and property-related disputes. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in both contentious and non-contentious matters.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct pre-action investigations, including factual and legal research.
- Draft and review case plans, written advice, contracts, shareholder agreements, statements of case, witness statements, and more.
- Manage disclosure and inspection processes.
- Assist in preparing for hearings, mediations, and appeals.
- Support advocates during hearings and negotiations.
- Prepare documents like chronologies and assist in case management.
- Communicate effectively with clients, experts, and witnesses.
What They Are Looking For:
- Experience: Prior experience in property litigation is essential.
- Skills: Excellent written and oral communication skills, with a strong ability to analyse and solve problems. Competency in Word and Excel is essential.
- Attributes: Organised, disciplined, and presentable with a keen eye for detail. Able to prioritise tasks and work effectively under pressure.
- Team Player: Willingness to contribute to team efforts and participate in marketing and committee activities.
- Enthusiasm: A commitment to learning and developing within the role, while maintaining professionalism and pragmatism.
