Internal Communications Executive

Main Purpose of the Role:

To support the London management team with the planning and delivery of internal communications. This involves maintaining and implementing a communications plan, daily colleague announcements, management communications, and event management. The role also requires liaising with key stakeholders across the business to represent the communications department and ensuring common and consistent language and messaging across the organisation.

Responsibilities:

  • Support London management in regular communication activities by maintaining and implementing a communications plan.
  • Research content for articles, write and edit copy for the intranet, and manage email communications.
  • Manage internal communication-led events.
  • Occasionally assist at other internal and external events.
  • Regularly update the London intranet presence and provide training to various business areas.
  • Liaise with stakeholders across the business
  • Develop the use of video content for internal communications, managing a regular content calendar for London.
  • Research and propose new communications formats, especially for hybrid working, to reach internal target audiences.
  • Work with the graphics agency to brief in campaigns and online publications.

Key Requirements:

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent.
  • Experience in communications or financial services preferred
  • Excellent communicator with strong attention to detail.
  • Level-headed under pressure and confident dealing with peers at all levels.
  • Ability to push back and suggest alternative approaches when required.
  • Good understanding of communication strategies and channels.
  • Enthusiastic, approachable, and a team player.
  • Good understanding of the banking sector and committed to its values.
