Location: Welwyn Garden City
Salary: £25,000-£28,000 (Dependent on Experience)
Hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday
Type: Full-Time, Office-Based (Possible Hybrid Opportunity After 3-6 Months)

Our client, a leader in their industry with over 40 years of experience, specialises in designing, manufacturing and installing bespoke solutions. They are deeply committed to sustainability, sourcing only the most environmentally responsible products available today. Due to their ongoing growth, they are seeking an additional CAD Technician to join their dynamic team.

Role Overview: As a CAD Technician, you will work closely with Project Managers to support multiple projects, ensuring high-quality CAD drawing delivery. Initially office-based, this role offers the potential for hybrid working arrangements after the first 3-6 months. You will be a crucial part of a collaborative team, contributing to the company's continued success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • CAD Drawings: Provide detailed 2D CAD drawings using AutoCAD Lite, managing up to 10 layers.
  • Collaboration: Liaise with Project Managers to ensure accuracy and timely completion of drawings.
  • Amendments: Make necessary revisions to drawings based on project changes.
  • Communication: Work with architects, catering specialists, and other third parties as required.
  • Workload Management: Prioritise tasks to meet deadlines without compromising on quality.
  • Site Visits: Attend site visits when needed to gather information and ensure project accuracy.
  • Team Support: Assist other members of the CAD team when required.
  • Documentation: Maintain drawing folders according to company standards.
  • Administrative Support: Answer phone calls, transfer calls, and take accurate messages when needed.
  • Additional Tasks: Perform any other duties as directed by the Project Manager or Team Leader.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Experience: Proficiency in AutoCAD Lite 2D is essential, with experience handling drawings up to 10 layers.
  • Skills: Strong ability to prioritise, multitask and manage a changing workload.
  • Communication: Excellent communication skills to effectively liaise with Project Managers and third parties.
  • Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail, particularly with equipment schedules and filter sizes.
