Payroll Specialist

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Temporary Payroll Specialist to support the payroll operations for a well known client we are working with. The ideal candidate will ensure accurate and timely processing of employee payroll, maintain compliance with relevant laws and regulations, and provide excellent service to employees regarding payroll inquiries. This is a fully office based role, starting immediately and fora period of up to 8 weeks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process bi-weekly/monthly payroll for employees using SAGE.
  • Review and verify timesheets, earnings, deductions, and tax information.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws and best practices.
  • Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll issues or concerns.
  • Assist with payroll audits and reporting as needed.
  • Maintain accurate payroll records and documentation.
  • Collaborate with HR and Finance teams to ensure data accuracy and resolve discrepancies.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Payroll Specialist or in a similar payroll role.
  • Strong knowledge of payroll regulations and procedures.
  • Proficiency in payroll software SAGE.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with integrity.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
