The Company
My client is a global manufacturing/engineering company with several locations within the UK and other sites globally. They manufacture precision products, and also supply other products/services to their clients within the rail industry.
The role will report directly into the Production Logistics Manager, and within the role you will be responsible for the production control and planning ensuring that all parts are available for production on a daily basis.
Other duties within the role of Production Planner will be:
- Create and maintain production inline with capacity and material restraints.
- Update SAP/MRP systems daily with changes.
- Liaise with Customer Services to ensure customer requirements are planned
- Ensure that customer priority orders are planned and processed correctly to
- Attending review meetings with Production.
- Proactively lead continuous improvement projects to improve production system efficiencies.
**Working hours
The role will involve working a 37 hour week Monday to Friday onsite.
Candidate Specification
The successful candidate will have the following experience:
- Previous experience in a Production Planning or Material Control
- Experience of working with Material Resource Planning (MRP).
- Experience of SAP or similar MRP
- Excel intermediate
- Ability to read engineering
