We are seeking a dedicated Alarm Service Engineer to attend customer sites within their allocated regional area to fulfil our Clients business contracts. The role involves completing planned preventive maintenances of fire safety systems, attending call-outs, fault finding, and modifying existing systems, all while ensuring compliance with industry standards and delivering excellent customer service.

Day to Day of the Role:

  • Work efficiently to meet Preventive Maintenance (PM) schedules for customers in the allocated regional area.
  • Respond to emergency call-outs and unscheduled work, attending sites efficiently and in line with customer SLAs.
  • Complete service worksheets and company documents comprehensively in line with BS5839 and company policies.
  • Provide feedback on on-site issues, non-compliances, and additional work opportunities to the Service Manager.
  • Deliver excellent customer service and attend follow-up visits to ensure remedial work is completed within SLAs.
  • Maximise on-site remedial works and identify further service opportunities.
  • Support other departments to complete installation works on time, as required.
  • Build strong professional relationships with customers, suppliers, and internal personnel from other departments.
  • Adhere to health and safety guidance, using correct PPE, uniform, and equipment for assigned work.
  • Liaise with the QHSE Manager for quality audits, equipment calibration, field audits, and monthly health and safety Toolbox Talks.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Excellent communication skills, approachable with a positive attitude.
  • Strong focus on customer service.
  • Effective organisation skills, including time management and prioritising.
  • Problem-solving approach with accountability for own actions.
  • Proficient IT skills.
  • FIA Foundation with extensive knowledge of BS5839.
  • Experience in fault finding and modifying Fire Safety Systems configurations.
