Mechanical Apprentice Engineer

As a Mechanical Apprentice Engineer you will engage in a new and exciting role where you will have the opportunity to become professionally qualified in mechanical engineering.

We are partnering with an established training provider and offering an apprenticeship where you will learn all elements of mechanical maintenance engineering through practical day to day duties in a portfolio of Company properties, whilst also undertaking theoretical learning and assessment via our training provider.

By joining our facilities team on a four-year apprentice scheme, you'll be investing in yourself as you develop core skills whilst also gaining valuable real world industry experience. On top of all this, you'll be working towards your Apprenticeship in Mechanical Maintenance to become fully qualified.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Attending day release college, completing and passing all related coursework and exams to obtain your Level 3 Plumbing and Domestic Heating qualification.
  • Conducting repairs and upgrades on mechanical equipment and installations.
  • Assisting in the inspection and servicing of mechanical systems.
  • Gaining knowledge in mechanical engineering services, systems, and regulations.
  • Identifying and complying with Health and Safety procedures, conducting risk assessments, and ensuring the use of Personal Protection Equipment (PPE).
  • Maintaining a respectful, kind, and friendly demeanour towards both clients and colleagues.
  • Collaborating effectively with various stakeholders across the Business.
  • Carrying out your work to the highest standards and comply with our health and safety requirements.
  • Documenting all work activities accurately and in a timely manner.

Preferred Skills, Qualifications and Experience:

  • GCSE Maths, Science and English at Level 4 (Grade C) or above.
  • Possess a full driving licence or be working towards.
  • Demonstrate a strong commitment to developing a career in mechanical engineering.
  • Demonstrate practical skills.
  • Be able to work both independently and as part of a team in a proactive manner.
