Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon Borough Council is an ambitious and evolving organisation, delivering innovative and sustainable services which enhance the quality of life and wellbeing of its residents, businesses and visitors.

Following a review of organisational structures, the council has a driven and strong senior leadership team in place with a focus on prioritising the delivery of high quality, customer focused services, which will deliver for the Borough now and into the future.

As part of this structure the council is seeking to appoint a Director of Regulatory Services, Facilities & Assets, who will report to the Deputy Chief Executive and will have responsibility for a number of critical front-line services and departments, specifically Environmental Health, Planning, Building Control, Estates & Asset Management.

The role holder will be a strategic thinker with the ability to operate across complex and technical disciplines: able to identify opportunities for the effective utilisation of the council's estate, as well as being able to lead change and drive efficiencies within the planning and building control functions.

This is a key leadership role within the council, with over 200 staff across various professions and disciplines, coupled with significant engagement with elected members and external stakeholders.
