About the Role:
As a Cover Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth running of the school day by supervising students in the absence of their regular teachers. Your main responsibilities will include:
- Delivering pre-set lesson plans: Ensuring students stay on task and supporting them with their learning.
- Managing classroom behaviour: ?? Maintaining a positive learning environment and addressing any behavioural issues.
- Providing support to students: Assisting with any questions or issues that arise during the lesson.
- Liaising with teaching staff: Communicating effectively with teachers and senior staff to ensure continuity of learning.
Requirements:
- Education: Minimum GCSEs in English and Maths (A-levels or a degree is advantageous).
- Experience: Previous experience in a similar role within a secondary school setting is highly desirable.
- Skills: ? Strong communication skills, the ability to manage a classroom, and a genuine interest in supporting students' education.
- Flexibility: Ability to adapt to different subjects and year groups.
