Main responsibilities:

  • Provide pre and post audit support to the AS9100 Rev D surveillance and re-certification audits, to ensure that accreditation is achieved and maintained.
  • Support and co-ordinate customer and other regulatory audits (NADCAP, ISO14001 etc).
  • Audit the effectiveness of the AQMS processes and procedures, against the requirements of the AS9100 Rev D standard, and in line with the Internal Audit Plan.
  • Source and use data and information to record quality performance and identify repeat non-conformities.
  • Manage the NCR process by completing structured, team based, root cause analysis and developing effective corrective actions.
  • Provide guidance and support to the owners of corrective actions as required to ensure they are closed out in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and address Quality issues.
  • Support continuous improvement to ensure the manufacture of high-quality products.
  • Support Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) projects through team attendance and contributing to the development of the FMEA and Production Part Approval Process (PPAP).
  • Deliver timely and accurate Quality Plans and Control Plans.
  • Facilitate the accurate and timely completion and review of First Article Inspection Reports (FAIR's) in line with the AS9102 Revision C standard.
  • Accurately and efficiently complete contract review documentation.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain AQMS documentation (forms, Procedures, Work Instructions etc) in line with the requirements of the business and of the AS9100 Revision D standard.
  • Facilitate effective and timely Problem Solving and identify effective actions to correct them.
  • Apply effective project management to implement improvement projects.
  • Provide support for the effective and timely introduction of new products.
  • Monitor the entire production cycle to proactively identify potential malfunctions and mitigation's.
  • Perform or facilitate Inspections to products, materials, parts, and special processes

What we are looking for:

Essentials:

  • Firsthand experience gained in a Quality Engineering role.
  • Experience of working in a low volume high quality machining and engineering business.
  • Firsthand experience of working with Aerospace Quality Management Systems (AQMS) and methodologies.
  • First class communications internally and externally at all levels.
  • In-depth understanding of technical documentation.
  • Familiarity with data collection and analysis.
  • Considerable attention to detail.
  • Problem-solving abilities.
  • Good analytical skills.
