A dynamic Finance team within a reputable public sector organisation is seeking a Finance Business Partner. The team is dedicated to providing high-quality financial advice and support to ensure efficient financial management across their Directorates.

Job Purpose: The Finance Business Partner will offer strategic financial advice to support the People Directorate, focusing mainly on Adult Social Care with areas of responsibility also including housing (not HRA), early help and communities. This role involves understanding and addressing financial challenges, leading complex projects, and ensuring compliance with corporate standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Advise on key financial issues, legislation, policy, and guidance.
  • Lead and analyse financial projects, improving performance and value for money.
  • Document financial implications and support budget planning and control.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory financial regulations.
  • Provide strategic input to Directorate and corporate plans.

Qualifications:

  • CCAB qualified with in-depth knowledge of local authority accounting.
  • Experience in Adult Social Care Finance is essential.
  • Extensive experience in senior finance roles within the public sector.
  • Proficiency in large financial systems and advanced Excel skills.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and project management abilities.
