A Quality Engineer role has arisen with a leading Manufacturer located in Glossop. The role requires a good understanding of Quality in a manufacturing setting, as well as being able to carry out audits both externally and internally within a highly regulated environment.

Description
- Leading investigations into non-conformance and customer complaints, establishing root cause appropriate corrective actions.
- Perform internal and external audits of our business and sub-contract base and ensure all findings are addressed and closed out in a timely manner.
- Ensuring the calibration of all equipment on site.
- Ensuring that all site equipment checks are completed.
- Day-to-day customer contact for technical/quality issues.
- Working with staff to ensure compliance with ISO 17025 and other customer requirements.
- Promoting quality performance improvements throughout the organisation.
- Agreeing standards and establishing clearly defined quality methods for staff to apply
- Defining quality procedures in conjunction with operating staff.
- Ensuring that site quality documentation and training records are completed and maintained.
- Actively pursue cost reduction opportunities through refinement of methods and increased process capability.
- Use of internal non conformance database to analyse trends and liaise with the continuous improvement team to implement to implement improvement activities.
Profile
- Experience in the application of statistical, root cause and problem solving tools and techniques e.g. SPC, FMEA, 8D, Ishikawa, Six Sigma.
- Familiarity with UKAS, NADCAP and aerospace approvals (AS9100).
- Experience to work alongside internal and external auditors.
Job Offer
Salary range between £30k and £50k dependent upon experience
