About the company
We're on the lookout for a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our client's team as a Purchase Ledger Clerk. This is your chance to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic finance department, where you'll learn the ropes from industry professionals and build a solid foundation for your future career.
You'll be joining a fast-changing, multi-million-pound company, based at their head office in Newton Aycliffe.
Reporting to the Finance Director, you'll be part of a dynamic finance team with a strong leadership team who are driving change and control across the business.
You'll be in good hands and offered career development in time, but more importantly, you will enhance your skills and experience in Accounts Payable with a leading local company.
So, what's in it for you?
You'll maintain the purchase ledger, process supplier invoices, reconcile statements and set up bank payments.
You will get flexibility on your start and finish times, meaning you can make time for the school run or that exercise class and have the opportunity to work from home two days per week if you wish.
Do you like to start the weekend early? You will also benefit from a slightly early finish time on a Friday.
You will be entitled to 25 days of holiday, plus statutory bank holidays, a private healthcare scheme and study support.
You'll be supported by senior members of the finance team who are happy to train you, but they will also listen and welcome ideas from you that may have been a success for you in the past.
You will possess a genuine eagerness to learn and grow. While previous experience isn't required, a keen attention to detail and a proactive attitude are essential. If you're familiar with basic IT tools like Microsoft Office, especially Excel, that's a plus, all training will be provided here.
You must be comfortable with learning and understanding new systems.
Above all, you will be driven, ambitious and have the desire to develop and progress.
