We are an education agency representing an excellent Secondary School located in Hackney. This school is seeking an enthusiastic and empathetic SEN Teaching Assistant to work with students with a variety of learning and behaviour needs, in class and 121 for September.
This is a full-time role initially until Christmas and potentially for the full academic year.
The salary available is £90-95 per day, depending on experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide tailored support to a students with a range of special needs, learning support and behavioural needs
- Assist students in accessing the curriculum and participating in classroom activities.
- Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
- Implement strategies to promote the student's social and emotional development.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure the student's progress and well-being.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working with students with special needs and behavioural needs is essential.
- A patient and empathetic approach to supporting students with special educational needs.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to adapt and differentiate teaching strategies to meet the student's unique requirements.
- Flexibility and a willingness to work collaboratively as part of a team.
