Description
- Compile and analyse financial information to prepare financial statements and reports.
- Prepare monthly management accounts to include departmental profit and loss statements and balance sheet.
- Review and completion of month end processes, in line with management timetable, including monthly accruals, prepayments, depreciation and all other month end adjustments as required.
- Assisting preparation of annual budgets and any re-forecasting as required.
- Develop, implement, and ensure compliance with internal financial and accounting policies and procedures.
- Prepare budgets and forecasts and report variances.
- Assist central finance function with monthly inter-company reconciliations to ensure all group balances are correct.
- Assist in the development of financial strategies and plans.
- Develop strong relationships with key stakeholders across the business.
- Completion of ad-hoc project work and financial analysis on performance, including production of monthly KPI report.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to optimise service quality and efficiency.
Profile
A successful Management Accountant will be
- Part Qualified (CIMA, ACCA, ACA).
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
- Proficiency in relevant accounting software.
- Excellent numerical skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills to interface with management and other team members.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work under pressure.
