We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Recruitment Advisor to join our client's dynamic team. The ideal candidate will provide expert recruitment advice and guidance, supporting various aspects of the recruitment process and ensuring compliance with employment legislation.

Key

Responsibilities

:

  • Provide high-quality, consistent recruitment advice and guidance, including employment legislation.
  • Support the Talent Acquisition Manager in designing and implementing new recruitment processes and procedures.
  • Assist with recruitment projects and initiatives and deliver/support training within the business area.
  • Advise Hiring Managers on market trends specific to their business areas.
  • Determine the best recruitment channels for vacancies within budget constraints.
  • Guide Senior Managers on organizational changes related to recruitment plans.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of recruitment policies within SPA/Police Scotland.
  • Manage and direct Talent Acquisition Officers and Recruitment Administrators, ensuring their development.
  • Monitor and identify inefficiencies in the recruitment process for continuous improvement.
  • Partner with Hiring Managers to anticipate and plan future recruitment needs.
  • Recruit for specialist roles using various tools, including Boolean searches, social media, headhunting, and partnering with Executive Search firms.
  • Perform trend analysis on HR recruitment matters, providing statistical information to stakeholders.
  • Provide data reports and briefings to Hiring Managers and Senior Recruitment Business Partners.
  • Conduct benchmarking to identify and suggest areas for improvement.
  • Track and report on agency spend and advertising budget.
  • Manage relationships with external suppliers.
  • Oversee purchase orders and invoice payments for designated business areas.
  • Lead and support all stages of the selection process.
  • Implement e-recruitment solutions and deliver necessary training.
  • Ensure staff compliance with policies, processes, and data protection regulations.
  • Uphold principles of integrity, fairness, respect, and human rights in alignment with the organizational code of ethics.
  • Manage and assess risk within all areas of responsibility.

Essential Skills/Qualifications

:

  • Degree level or equivalent in management or a business-related subject with significant relevant experience, OR extensive experience in a similar role.
  • Exemplary communication skills with the ability to influence at all organizational levels.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Customer-centric approach to service delivery.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize to meet deadlines.
  • Direct recruitment experience in both contract and permanent hiring in a large, complex organization.
  • In-depth experience with multi-channel candidate sourcing, including Boolean searches, social media, and headhunting.
  • Experience in providing recruitment support during organizational change/restructure.
  • Experience managing recruitment budgets.
  • Experience leading and managing a small to medium HR/Recruitment team.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, influencing, and negotiating skills.
  • Proficient in IT skills including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
