Location: The role offers a flexible working arrangement, with time split between home working and our office in Thames Ditton (Surrey) after the 6 month period.
Description: Reporting to the Head of Quantity Surveying, the successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Leading the cost management of multiple projects from inception to completion.
- Overseeing the preparation of tender documents, contracts, budgets, pricing documents, and other documentation.
- Managing and mentoring a team of quantity surveyors and ensuring high standards of work are maintained.
- Advising on procurement strategy and contractual claims.
- Assessing the commercial impact of design changes and providing cost-effective solutions.
Successful Candidate Will Have:
- A recognized degree in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline, coupled with significant professional experience in the residential sector.
- Chartered status with the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) or equivalent.
- A strong track record in financial management and cost control on large-scale residential projects.
- Demonstrated leadership skills and experience in managing a team of quantity surveyors.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and a client-focused approach.
- Exceptional organizational and communication skills, able to effectively coordinate with all levels of staff and external stakeholders.
