Our client is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Finance Analyst to support their transformation in a PE backed company. This role offers an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic team, based in Birmingham, with a salary of £40000. The successful candidate will provide essential support to the commercial management teams, ensuring key operational, commercial, and financial targets are delivered.

What you'll do:

As a Finance Analyst, you will be at the heart of our client's transformation journey. Your primary role will be to provide unwavering support to the commercial management teams, fostering strong relationships along the way. You will be instrumental in delivering key operational, commercial, and financial targets through your effective support. Your understanding of KPIs will be crucial in driving business performance. You will also play a significant role in the budgeting and forecasting process, providing insightful analysis and reporting to the business. With ownership of monthly management accounts for your areas of responsibility, you will represent finance in commercial project working groups.

  • Provide dedicated support to the commercial management teams, building strong relationships with them and their teams.
  • Ensure effective commercial support to deliver key operational, commercial, and financial targets.
  • Report and understand KPIs to drive business performance.
  • Play a pivotal role in supporting the budgeting and forecasting process.
  • Provide comprehensive analysis and reporting to the business.
  • Take ownership of the monthly management accounts for areas of responsibility.
  • Represent finance in commercial project working groups.

What you bring:

The ideal Finance Analyst candidate brings valuable experience from a manufacturing environment or similar fast-paced organisation. You have proven experience in budgeting and forecasting processes, including reviewing and challenging commercial targets with budget-holders. Your proficiency in Excel is matched by your ability to understand and report on KPIs. You have previously provided analysis and reporting to businesses. Above all, your strong interpersonal skills enable you to build meaningful relationships with commercial management teams.

  • Experience in a manufacturing environment or similar fast-paced organisation is essential.
  • Proven experience of budgeting and forecasting processes including reviewing and challenging commercial targets with budget-holders.
  • Proficiency in using Excel is required.
