SENIOR GAME OPTIMISATION ENGINEER £400 - £550 PER DAY (INSIDE IR35) 6 MONTH CONTRACT TECHNOLOGY SURREY (3 DAYS PER WEEK ON-SITE)
Harnham is excited to bring you an opportunity to partner with a globally leading technology company specialising in R&D! You will be joining a department specialising in their gaming ecosystem and supporting the tech company and video game partners to optimise their products on their platforms!
THE ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
As a Senior Game Optimisation Engineer, you will be:
- Developing plugins, Android APIs and demos to support and improve the performance of video games on their platforms
- Work closely with game companies and provide them with actionable insights on how to better optimise their games for the client's devices
- Study how to improve the performance of apps on their platforms, particularly focusing on CPUs.
YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
The successful applicant will have the following:
- A degree in a related field such as a STEM subject.
- Experience in game engine optimisation, particularly Unity, Unreal Engine or similar
- A background in supporting game or tech companies with video game optimisation
- Strong modern C++ skills
- Experience working with Android development (Perfetto, ADB, Gradle)
- Java and/or C# would be a bonus!
THE BENEFITS Once placed you can expect the following:
- £400-£550 per day
- Inside IR35
- 6 month initial contract with extensions very likely
- 3 days per week in their Surrey office
- Opportunity to travel the world for 2 weeks at a time to destinations in Europe, North America and Asia
