Group Strategic Analytics (GSA) is part of Group Chief Operation Office (COO) which acts as the bridge between the Bank's businesses and infrastructure functions to help deliver the efficiency, control, and transformation goals of the Bank.

You will be joining The Kannon Franchise Pricing Strat team which is part of the GSA function across all asset classes and combines expertise in quantitative analytics, modelling, pricing and risk management with deep understanding of system architecture and programming. The primary output is a scalable and flexible Front Office pricing and risk management system with consistent interface to both the Middle Office and Back Office. The primary focus of the role would be on electronic trading of rates products, specially interest rate swaps, repo and bonds. You will work closely with engineers, quants and traders to deliver high performance trading applications. You will have the opportunity to use your excellent Java skills and experience of modern software development practices to create high quality systems that can be iterated on rapidly and safely.

Your key responsibilities

  • Support the delivery of an immediate book of work already identified within Deutsche Bank's Global Markets business
  • Work closely with the business on further build out of the eTrading platform.
  • Implement and deliver new business functions and non-functional platform improvements
  • Develop functional and non-functional requirements in close collaboration with other engineers, quants and traders
  • Participate fully in code reviews as both an author and a reviewer
  • Actively improving team software development processes

Your skills and experience

  • Excellent core Java and demonstratable technical skills beyond core Java, particularly relevant are: C++, Python, KDB, messaging middleware and market data
  • An understanding of trading systems, preferably in an algo trading context
  • Good understanding of cash and derivative products across Rates and Foreign exchange (FX).
  • Experience of modern patterns for continuous delivery of software
  • A sound grounding in the principals of computer engineering, preferably with a technical degree.
  • Good interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively across multiple teams and functions whilst prioritising against tight deadlines. In addition to excellent presentational skills.
