We are seeking a Senior Communications Manager to lead communications and PR for an exciting project in Leeds. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing multiple communications projects and a proven ability to deliver effective strategic plans.

Description

  • To lead the development and implementation of effective, high quality internal and external communications activities.
  • Day-to-day delivery lead for aspects of communication and engagement
  • Effectively plan and deliver proactive marketing communications strategies
  • Manage internal and external communications
  • Lead the development and implementation of high-quality content for communication and engagement activity including website, annual reports, highlight reports, blogs and media releases
  • Coordinate with various departments to ensure consistent messaging
  • Monitor communication metrics and adjust strategies as necessary
  • Manage potentially difficult/conflicting situations with staff and stakeholders within change programmes for successful outcomes
  • Receive highly complex and sensitive information such as proposals around service change, financial modelling, programme plans, construction information, clinical trends and interpret this information into more user-friendly formats and present it to different internal/external stakeholder groups

Profile

A successful Senior Communications Manager should have:

  • A degree in Communications, Marketing, or a related field
  • Excellent Media and PR experience
  • Proven experience in a similar leadership role
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in using communication software and digital marketing tools
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Knowledge of the public sector and government industry
