Chauffeur / Ad-hoc Travelling Assistant
The ideal candidate will be physically fit with superb standards of personal presentation, you must also be proactive with the ability to show initiative. You will be responsible for managing your own workload and be required to help wherever necessary.
We are looking for someone that has the desire to succeed and want to do more than just drive, we require someone that wants a long-term position and the ability to develop the role into his/her own.
The Position
- Driving the principle to and from social engagements and airport runs
- You may occasionally be required to travel with the principle, so knowledge of driving in the USA/Europe is essential
- When travelling with the principles children and grandchildren abroad you will be responsible for their welfare and must drive accordingly
- Making sure all vehicles are immaculately maintained to a high standard, this includes valeting them and overseeing all repairs, warranties and any applicable MOTs on cars in the UK and the USA
- Seeking hire cars in countries where we do not have our own
- Overseeing and conducting all household maintenance/repairs, including liaising with contractors when applicable both in the UK and the Caribbean
- Liaising with our CCTV company whenever there are any security breaches, be first point of contact for house alarm call outs and car tracker alerts
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance or repair needs
- Run errands for the principle whilst aboard and assist the housekeeper when required
- Ability to occasionally travel at short notice
- Must be available at weekends when principle in country
The Person
- Private Chauffeuring experience required
- Excellent time management
- Full, valid clean driving license
- Knowledge of vehicle maintenance as well as geographical and route knowledge
- An interest or knowledge in prestigious high-performance vehicles and supercars
- Flexible
- Be able to travel as and when required
- Well-mannered and courteous in all driving and non-driving situations
- Must be smart in appearance, polite, reliable, calm and rational
- 28+ years old, due to the cars you will be driving and insurance requirements
- Ability to handle stressful situations calmly and responsibly.
Should it be required, the successful candidate will be booked onto advanced driving schools and personal protection courses.
Hours and salary will be person-dependant but will require frequent weekend and evening driving
