Medical Gas & Pressure Systems Authorising Engineer

Your new role
As the Authorising Engineer for Medical Gas & Pressure Systems, you'll cover our Healthcare, Education and Care & Custody divisions. You'll be appointed by, and reporting to, the Communities' Chief Authorising Engineer (CAE), with targeted development, leadership and autonomy in your role to drive and promote change.
Carrying out Audits & Inspections of technical compliance and of SSoW as directed by Communities CAE.
Conducting investigations using root cause analysis (RCA) of incidents, accidents or failures involving management, planning, engineering systems and equipment to prevent a recurrence.
You will spend time becoming familiar with each site, and keeping abreast with changes to sites, systems and risks.
Attend relevant Safety Groups as required by HTM 00 and client requirements to ensure that our client is appropriately represented, minimising risk, driving collaboration, and creating opportunity.

What you'll need to succeed
Healthcare experience is highly desirable. Will consider AP's looking to make the step-up or candidates with NHS experience. This job is hybrid you will be working from home when not on site but will be expected to attend site for assessments etc.
Have an understanding of contract standards, including PFI, or be willing to expand your knowledge in this area.Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills with the ability to complete Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and utilise data to identify deficiencies, trends, and opportunities.
Have a proven track record of working as an Authorising Engineer or a similar role in a relevant sector, such as, education, industry, or defence, preferably in a PFI setting.
