About the Role:
As a Teacher of MFL, you will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality language education that inspires and motivates students. Your expertise will be crucial in enhancing the linguistic skills of our pupils, preparing them for both academic success and global citizenship.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and effective lessons in one or more modern foreign languages, tailored to a range of abilities.
- Develop and implement creative teaching strategies to support students' language acquisition and cultural awareness.
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and targeted support to help each pupil achieve their potential.
- Contribute to the development of the MFL curriculum, ensuring it remains current, comprehensive, and challenging.
- Participate in departmental meetings, professional development, and collaborative planning sessions.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages mutual respect and a love for languages.
Essential Requirements:
- Proven experience teaching modern foreign languages at the secondary school level.
- Strong subject knowledge in at least one modern foreign language.
- A relevant teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, QTS).
- Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to engage and inspire students.
- Commitment to continuous professional development and staying abreast of educational best practices.
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and contribute positively to the school community.
