Recruitment & Compliance Lead

  • Location: Surrey
  • Job Type: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week
  • Salary: Up to £40,000pa

Reed HR has partnered with a local company who is seeking a Recruitment & Compliance Lead to partner with their People Team and recruiting managers to deliver an outstanding recruitment service. This role is pivotal in implementing creative recruitment strategies and ensuring compliance in all areas of recruitment and regulations. The successful candidate will act as a recruitment business partner for various teams and lead on recruitment for the non-maintained site.

Day to Day of the role:

  • Lead on permanent and bank staff recruitment and compliance processes.
  • Implement the organisation's Recruitment Strategy in collaboration with senior management.
  • Develop informed and practical plans to address recruitment challenges specific to each business unit.
  • Devise and implement progressive recruitment initiatives to increase workforce diversity and skill set.
  • Ensure all recruitment activities adhere to our Core Promises and comply with current employment legislation and Safeguarding policies.
  • Review and recommend improvements for assessment and selection methodologies.
  • Manage the candidate journey from initial contact through to on-boarding.
  • Support the full recruitment life-cycle, including the design of Candidate Briefing Packs and interview techniques.
  • Conduct benchmarking exercises for fair and attractive remuneration.
  • Supervise aspects of the on-boarding and compliance process.
  • Engage in the recruitment of Bank staff and manage the administration of recruitment records.
  • Prepare and analyse recruitment data and reports, making recommendations for change.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent professional experience.
  • CIPD Level 5 qualification or commitment to achieve within the first 2 years of appointment (desirable).
  • Employment Law qualification (desirable).
  • Significant hands-on recruitment experience, particularly within an ‘in-house' setting.
  • Experience in advising on recruitment and selection policies and compliance regulations.
  • Strong data analysis skills and the ability to write high-quality reports.
  • Excellent management and leadership qualities; positive relationship builder.
  • Strong knowledge of effective recruitment principles, policies, and processes.
  • Knowledge of CQC, Ofsted Care, and Ofsted Education regulations.
  • Understanding of GDPR requirements.
