About the Role:

Our clients are seeking an experienced

Legal Secretary

to join their expanding

Private Client Department

  • In this role, you will provide essential administrative support to the team of fee earners, assisting in matters such as

wills and probate

trusts administration

, and other private client work. You will be joining a collaborative team of 10, led by our Head of Department. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to further their career in a supportive and professional environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive secretarial support to fee earners, including diary management, document preparation, and client liaison.
  • Type and prepare correspondence, legal documents, and forms with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Assist with the administration of wills, probate, and trusts, ensuring compliance with legal procedures.
  • Manage client records, filing systems, and correspondence efficiently.
  • Handle telephone and email inquiries from clients and external parties in a professional manner.
  • Ensure attention to detail in all aspects of document preparation and filing.

Requirements:

  • 1-2 years' experience as a Legal Secretary, ideally within a Private Client department.
  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage a busy and varied workload.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a professional and confident telephone manner.
  • A high level of accuracy and attention to detail in all work.
  • Ability to work well both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
