There is an exciting opportunity to join the Adult's Commissioning Team as a Commissioning Manager. The role is to manage the Mental Health portfolio which is a priority development area for Peterborough City Council. .
The development includes:

Market development to provide a sound rehabilitative model to maximise independence and control. This covers all aspects of the market.
The postholder will work closely with the Learning Disability portfolio holder qnd officers responsible for transition planning, development of education and skills development
The Commissioning Manager will manage and deliver the strategic commissioning cycle, from determination of need, planning and reconciliation to the council's budget planning cycle, to delivery and management of contracts to meet identified need. Managing contracts throughout their term ensuring performance, quality, and value for money.
This role will include the commissioning, contract monitoring and quality assurance of services for residents with mental health needs, improving the outcomes of older people and vulnerable adults.
If you have:
Experience of working in commissioning
Experience working with mental health.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work with and engage a wide group of internal and external stakeholders to achieve a common goal
Good analytical skills
The ability to lead in the development and implementation of quantitative and qualitative national and locally agreed outcomes
Excellent project and programme managing skills
Budget monitoring skills
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Proficient organisational and planning skills
An enthusiastic attitude and an eagerness to learn
