Role: Assistant Transport Scheduler
Location: Ashford, Staines
Hours: Monday to Friday – 08:00-16:30
Salary: up to £30,000 DOE
A fantastic opportunity has now arisen for an Assistant Transport Scheduler to join our client's successful team in Ashford, Staines.
About our client:

About the role:
Reporting to the Transport Manager, the Assistant Transport Scheduler will work closely with the Transport Manager & the Transport Scheduler, to ensure all transport related responsibilities are completed daily.
You will be responsible for ensuring that all transport related administrative tasks are completed & will support the Transport Manager with daily vehicle & resource planning, driver communications & will deputise for the Transport Scheduler in their absence.
Roles & responsibilities:
- Provide efficient & effective scheduling & planning of all deliveries /collections
- All aspects of scheduling for crew
- Coordinate subcontractors , monitoring quality & performance
- Work closely with internal departments for panning of jobs
- Manage delivery & collection paperwork, investigating missing delivery/collection & rectifying
- Collation of driver's daily timesheets & uploading to system

Skills & experience:
- Full clean driver's license
- Minimum of two years working in a similar role
- Excellent communication skills
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Word & Excel
- Excellent planning & organisation skills
- A sound understanding of the transport & logistics industry
