We are seeking dedicated Nursery Practitioners to join a vibrant nursery in Blackburn. This role is perfect for individuals who are passionate about contributing to the development and education of children. The position is set to commence in September 2024 and is anticipated to extend throughout the academic year.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Engage with children in a variety of educational and play activities, fostering a creative and stimulating environment.
  • Plan and implement age-appropriate lessons and activities in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
  • Monitor and record children's progress, ensuring their developmental milestones are met.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organised classroom setting that meets health and safety standards.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and guardians about their children's development and daily activities.
  • Work collaboratively with other nursery staff to create a supportive and nurturing atmosphere for all children.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • A relevant qualification in childcare, such as NVQ, BTEC, or equivalent.
  • Experience working in a nursery or early years setting.
  • A thorough understanding of the EYFS framework.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A caring and patient approach to working with young children.
  • The ability to work as part of a team and to build rapport with children and their families.
