Reed Oxfordshire are excited to announce a longstanding client of ours are seeking an experienced and driven professional to join their finance team as a Management Accountant. Full study support if offered for those looking to complete their accountancy qualifications, with a great interactive and supporting environment the ideal applicant will have strong communication skills and be able to pick out information from datasheets and provide additional commentaries on these.
In this role, you will be instrumental in producing monthly management accounts, sales commission reports, and partnering with budget holders and stakeholders. You will also play a key role in the preparation of annual budgets, forecasts, and statutory accounts.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Produce monthly management accounts and prepare month-end journals, accruals, and prepayments.
- Conduct full analysis of all P&L accounts and reconcile all balance sheet accounts monthly.
- Prepare monthly reporting commentaries on key variances to budget in line with the month-end timetable.
- Engage in business partnering and handle sales commission accounting.
- Provide sales reporting and analysis.
- Assist with the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and year-end statutory account preparation.
- Address tax matters, including corporation tax computation preparation and VAT.
- Support the year-end auditors by providing answers to queries in a timely manner.
- Support other Finance functions such as Accounts Payable, Sales Admin, and Accounts Receivable.
- Complete ‘Office for National Statistics' questionnaires.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- ACA/ACCA Qualified/Part Qualified.
- Previous experience in a Management Accountant position.
- Strong understanding of accounting systems and advanced Excel skills.
- Strong numerical skills and the ability to meet strict deadlines with minimal supervision.
- Ability to develop and maintain positive working relationships.
- Capability to work individually and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
