What You'll Be Doing
- Providing 1:1 support, maintaining pupil engagement and safety at all times
- Building a strong rapport with the supported pupil to encourage positive growth
- Assisting the pupil in managing and overcoming challenging behaviors
- Collaborating with the KS2 team and communicating closely with SENDCo and parents/carers
- Creating and leading engaging, topic-linked activities to foster interest and development
- Working alongside external support professionals and adapting your approach as needed
About You
- Be able to do the job as described.
- Experienced in working with children with social and communication needs
- Calm, patient, and enthusiastic about making a difference
- Open to learning new approaches and taking advice from specialists
- Confident in handling avoidant or challenging behaviors with a positive attitude
