Description
- Processing accounts and incoming payments in compliance with financial policies and procedures.
- Performing day to day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, computing, posting and recording accounts payable data.
- Preparing bills, invoices and bank deposits.
- Reconciling the accounts payable ledger to ensure that all payments are accounted for and properly posted.
- Verifying discrepancies by and resolve clients' billing issues.
- Facilitating payment of invoices due by sending bill reminders and contacting clients.
- Generating reports detailing accounts payables status.
Profile
A successful 'Accounts Payable Clerk' should have:
- A relevant degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration.
- Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records.
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel, and knowledge of accounting software packages.
- Strong skills in dealing with deadlines and accounting numbers and calculations.
