Backend Software Engineer / Developer (Golang) London / WFH to £95k
Are you a senior, backend technologist seeking a role where you can remain hands-on with technology and take ownership?
You could be joining a rapidly expanding and innovative start-up that have created a high performance media digital streaming product used by a number of well-known company's including Eurostar to allow Wi-Fi access and more on the move. You'll be working on complex systems whilst using the latest technology and continually learning with a £2,000 training budget.
As a Backend Software Engineer you'll collaborate with business stakeholders, the VP of Engineering and wider technology team to build on the core products, introducing new features and enhancements across the full development lifecycle.
You'll be working with Golang and REST APIs within a cloud based environment with CI/CD pipelines. As a senior, hands-on engineer you'll be able to influence and shape the engineering culture, providing mentoring and advice on best practice to more junior engineers within a supportive, diverse environment.
Location / WFH:
There's a hybrid work from home model with two days a week in the London office (with onsite gym); you'll join a friendly and upbeat team.
About you:
- You have strong backend development skills, with commercial Golang experience
- You have software architecture and design skills and a strong knowledge of software engineering best practices
- You have a thorough understanding of Computer Science fundamentals such as OOP, Data Structures, Algorithms
- You have a good understanding of cloud based infrastructures (AWS, GCP); CI/CD pipelines; SQL / NoSQL
- You're collaborative and have Agile team experience
- You are degree educated in Computer Science or similar STEM discipline
