Randstad is excited to partner with the Children with Disabilities Team in Newcastle to recruit an experienced and passionate Team Manager.

Job Description:

Are you a dynamic and experienced social work leader with a passion for supporting children with disabilities.
In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of high-quality services, managing a team of social workers, and ensuring that the needs of children and their families are met with compassion and professionalism.

Responsibilities:

  • Leading and managing the Children with Disabilities Team, ensuring the delivery of effective, high-quality services.
  • Providing supervision, guidance, and support to a team of social workers, fostering a positive and collaborative team environment.
  • Overseeing complex cases and ensuring that assessments, care plans, and interventions are in line with best practices and legal requirements.
  • Working closely with multi-disciplinary teams, external agencies, and community organizations to coordinate care and services for children with disabilities.
  • Ensuring that all team activities comply with relevant legislation, policies, and procedures, particularly in relation to safeguarding and child protection.

Qualifications:

  • Qualified Social Worker registered with Social Work England.
  • Proven experience in a leadership or management role within children's services, particularly with children with disabilities.
  • Strong knowledge of legislation, policies, and procedures related to children with disabilities, safeguarding, and child protection.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
