We are looking to recruit an Intelligence Analyst Manager. Based in the Intelligence Team, you will play a crucial role in leading the analysis of intelligence and maximising use of data to inform regulatory oversight. You will contribute to identifying, informing and directing the Commission's response to threat, making the organisation's response proactive, agile and intelligence led.

- Civil service pension, with an employer contribution rate of 27%
- Hybrid working, specific guidelines are to be agreed with line manager
- 26 days' holiday, rising to 29 days after two years' service, with the option to buy up to five days' extra annual leave

Key responsibilities, skills, and experience

Plan, manage and co-ordinate the activities of analyst and intelligence colleagues, ensuring all work is undertaken within agreed timescales and within the terms of reference.

Line manage analyst and intelligence colleagues, identifying training and professional development needs, whilst providing quality assurance of products.

Develop protocols and methodologies for maximising analysis of internal and external data sets which contribute to delivering the Commission's key priorities.

Attend and provide briefings to internal and external stakeholders, promoting sharing of information and intelligence which facilitates collaborative working.

Contribute to the development of intelligence and analytical systems, whilst briefing senior management on technological developments in this space.

Lead on producing thematic, strategic and tactical reports whilst having an overview of the whole team's work and supporting the Operations team with requests for Intelligence products.

Respond to tasks from other parts of the business to support priority projects or casework delivery.

Source, access, manipulate and apply analytical processes to explore and prepare analysis of Commission data. Conduct in-depth statistical analysis that combines relevant data and information sources available to the Commission, as well as seek out new sources of data to support our work.

Highly flexible and motivated to work on a variety of simultaneous research tasks with the ability to contribute to urgent taskings or work on wider operations projects as directed.

Person specification:

Essential:

- Senior analyst background and extensive knowledge of the discipline of Data/Insight analysis.
- Proficient in the use of analytical data processing and visualisation software, e.g. I2 analyst notebook.
- Demonstrate the ability to manage and develop staff across a diverse programme of activities within tight deadlines to deliver results.
- Visualise and present findings to a range of internal and external audiences.
- Create and quality assure engaging multi-source products that drive intelligence led decision-making.
- Demonstrable experience of taking responsibility for identifying, driving and supporting change and continuous improvement to help raise standards.
- Deliver presentations to diverse audiences.
- Highly developed communication skills, able to quickly build positive working relationships.

Desirable:

- Intelligence Professionalism Programme accredited (IPP).
- A good understanding of the National Intelligence Model and legal frameworks for investigations.
- A broad experience in an enforcement or intelligence analysis environment, with a focus on risk identification and management, evidence identification, intelligence gathering and presentation.
