Warehouse Operative

We are continuously seeking diligent and reliable Warehouse Operatives to join our dynamic team on a temporary basis. These roles are ideal for individuals who enjoy physical work. As a Warehouse Operative, you will play a crucial part in the logistics chain, ensuring that goods are received, stored, and dispatched accurately and efficiently.
Day-to-day of the role (Typical duties could include):
- Loading and unloading goods from delivery vehicles.
- Checking for damaged or missing items and then sorting stock for storage in the warehouse.
- Taking inventory and processing warehouse stock products (pick, unload, label, store).
- Operating handling equipment and ensuring safety regulations are followed.
- Overseeing the dispatch of orders and coordinating with the dispatch team to ensure accuracy.
- Maintaining clear and clean working areas and ensuring strict adherence to company health and safety policies.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- No formal qualifications required.
- Previous experience in a warehouse environment is advantageous but not always essential.
- Good organisational and time management skills.
- Ability to lift heavy objects and stand for extended periods.
- Basic understanding of warehouse safety and operations.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends, if required.
