The Role
As the Vice President - Corporate Controller, located at their offices in the West Midlands, this is a key member of the Group Finance leadership team reporting directly to the Group CFO. You will be leading the Group Finance reporting team ensuring a high-quality service to the Group's trading operations providing analytical insight and financial reports to enhance decision making and mitigate risk. Other stakeholders include the Group Executive Team, Shareholders and Bond Investors
- A significant role in the management of internal and external reporting of the Group's financial performance
- Review and preparation of the Group annual report and consolidated accounts
- Lead the Group on all technical financial reporting, ensuring adherence to IFRS and internal requirements
- Management of the Group's external audit programme
- Drive internal controls excellence and ownership across the Group
- Lead post-acquisition integration of M&A acquisitions, and the training of new Controllers to align with group policies
- Development and training of the Group Finance Reporting team
- Deputise for the Group CFO as needed, providing support in high-level financial decisions
- Proactively support wider group finance activities
Candidate Profile
- For this Vice President - Corporate Controller opportunity in the West Midlands, you will be a qualified Chartered Accountant and experienced Group Controller. Must have experience of working for a large international, multi-site business, ideally with a manufacturing, industrial product background
- Must have strong up to date IFRS knowledge in particular IFRS 3, 16 & 8
- Experience in a leveraged PE environment, with knowledge of bond investor reporting highly desirable
- Excellent system skills, and experience of HFM or a similar consolidation tool is essential
- Strong leadership skills across the direct reporting team and indirectly across the broader financial controller community
- Must be comfortable and have a track record of delivering change in a dynamic environment
- High impact communication and presentation skills and excellent stakeholder/ relationship management to work at all levels internally & externally
- They operate a hybrid working arrangement with only 2 days required in the office per week. Occasional overseas travel would be required
