Our Client, Nottingham City Council, is seeking an Adult's Social Worker to join the Mental Health Team

Responsibilities of this role:

  • Two roles available: Mental Health North - 12 weeks initially Mental Health South - to 31/03/25 Qualified and registered Social Worker with at least three years' experience post-ASYE, in a statutory Adults setting.
  • AMHP qualification not necessary, but experience in Mental Health is essential.
  • The Mental Health Social Care Teams are specialist teams that commission and review a wide variety of packages of care for citizens who are in contact with secondary mental health services, with the aim of promoting independence and wellbeing.
  • In addition to undertaking initial assessments and submitting packages of care for approval, Social Workers regularly write reports for Mental Health Review Tribunals, undertake Mental Health Act Assessments (Approved Mental Health Professionals) and formally assess the capacity of citizens to make key decisions about different aspects of their life.
  • This team also provides a small specialist service for citizens who are struggling with severe drug and alcohol related problems.

Requirements of this role:

  • Must be a Qualified Social Worker, registered with Social Work England.
  • Must have minimum of 2 years' post qualified experience.
