Site Engineer

We are currently looking to recruit a Site Engineer to join the site team working on a highways upgrade scheme in the Midlands. The role will be responsible for all the works along the route which includes surfacing, paving and drainage and junction improvement.

Minimum 3 years experience in a site Based Engineering Role working on civils/ highways projects with demonstrable experience in drainage, kerbing and surfacing works.

Salary & Package:

Salary 45-47k

40 hours Monday - Friday

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and oversee day-to-day site activities.
  • Ensure all works are carried out in accordance with design specifications and standards.
  • Conduct site surveys, set out, and level the site.
  • Liaise with project managers, subcontractors, and local authorities.
  • Prepare reports, maintain accurate site records, and manage documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety and quality procedures.
  • Monitor project progress and address any issues that arise.
  • Support the project team in problem-solving and decision-making.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
  • Proven experience in a similar role within the construction industry, preferably on highways or infrastructure projects.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and legal regulations.
  • Proficiency in using surveying and CAD equipment.
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • CSCS card holder.
  • A valid UK driving license.
