Job Title: Approved Electrician

Location: Harwell, Didcot

Are you an experienced Electrician looking to join a dynamic and growing team? We are currently seeking a dedicated and skilled Approved Electrician to carry out planned and reactive maintenance across a range of buildings in our client's portfolio. This role involves working in a fast-paced environment where your ability to work both independently and collaboratively will be crucial.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform planned and reactive maintenance on various commercial and industrial properties.
  • Carry out inspection and testing, including emergency light testing, PAT testing, RCD testing.
  • Install new electrical equipment or replace/repair lamps, sockets, and other fixtures.
  • Work both independently and as part of a team, assisting other trades when needed.
  • Liaise effectively with clients and suppliers, demonstrating excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ensure all duties are carried out in compliance with current Health and Safety legislation and best practices.

What We're Looking For:

  • Proven experience in commercial and industrial installations.
  • Proficient in inspection and testing (2391 or equivalent certification).
  • Familiar with the latest wiring regulations and able to complete NICEIC Certificates.
  • Experience with access equipment is beneficial.
  • Basic computer skills are desirable.
  • Ability to undertake manual handling and assist with minor building repairs.
  • Flexible approach to duties, including general repairs and contractor escort duties.
  • Capable of working in a demanding environment and participating in an on-call rota.
  • Diligent, professional, and proactive attitude.
  • Electrical PPE required as necessary.

Person Specification:

  • 18th Edition in Electrical Installation.
  • NVQ Level 3 in Electro-Technical Services - Electrical Installation.
  • City & Guilds 2391 Testing and Inspection, City & Guilds 2330 or NVQ Equivalent, City & Guilds 2377.
  • Previous maintenance experience in a commercial environment.
  • Full clean driving licence.
  • Knowledge of Health & Safety and safe working practices.
  • Baseline security clearance would be advantageous.
  • Customer-focused with a strong commitment to delivering high-quality service.
  • Additional certifications such as IPAF and PASMA are preferred.
