Rewind Operator

The company has opportunities for a Inspection Finisher working in our Reflex Label site in Mansfield.
Roles and Responsibilities
This role will report directly into the Production Manager and will be an integral part of the Rewind Inspection team. The role includes the final inspection of printed product prior to shipment to the customer along with other relevant duties expected in this area. A keen eye for detail and a willingness to work under pressure at times is essential.
As an Inspection Finishing Operator, your duties include ensuring that the rolls of paper are wound to specified lengths, feeding paper from the master roll into a machine that will measure off the lengths required for the new roll, and removing the new rolls. Your job also includes maintenance and calibration of your equipment.
Tasks
- Setting up of the Rewind Machines
- Watching the machines as run finished master reels into Customer Specified reels
- Stopping the machine if a problem arises, and either dealing with the problem or getting help
- Unloading and stacking the ready for packing
- Cleaning the machines and doing minor maintenance
- Working with a BRC Controlled Environment
Skills
- Excellent verbal communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
- Ability to operate or to quickly learn to operate various printing machines and related software.
- Ability to follow instructions.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Experience working within a team with a good standard of communication
- Experienced Inspection Finisher
Contracted Hours:
6am – 2pm/2pm-10pm Rotating with a 7.15 Finish every other Friday
