Responsibilities:
- Oversee and coordinate daily warehousing activities, ensuring smooth operations of the warehouse.
- Maintain accuracy in shipments and inventory transactions, guaranteeing the quality of goods.
- Organise and maintain inventory and storage areas for optimal efficiency.
- Measure and report on the effectiveness of warehousing activities.
- Collaborate with internal teams daily, ensuring effective communication.
- Provide excellent customer service, addressing inquiries and problem-solving.
- Process sales orders, invoices, and goods received, utilising warehouse software and MS Office proficiency.
- Assist with logistics problem-solving and contribute to improving work procedures.
- Liaise between manufacturers and internal colleagues, ensuring customer requirements are met.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation, utilising reports to assess warehouse status.
- Coordinate activities with other departments for a seamless workflow.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Proven work experience as a Warehouse Supervisor, preferably in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of warehouse software packages (Sage 200) and proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel.
- Strong customer service ethic and excellent organisational skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and prioritisation skills.
- Effective supervisory skills and techniques.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in data management.
- Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing priorities.
- Knowledge of HMRC Customs Excise documentation is desirable.
- Previous experience in a start-up/evolving technology business is a plus.
