Senior Finance Assistant – 12 Month Maternity Cover
We are recruiting for an experienced Senior Finance Assistant to join our client who are based in Basildon. This is a great opportunity to join a small team in a well-established global company.
The role will be supporting the Finance Manager for the day-to-day operational management of the Business. This is a hands-on role, requiring attention to detail and a pro-active attitude. You will be part of a small team with monthly co-ordination working closely with other connected departments within the UK and in Europe.
This position is for a maternity cover for 12 months.
Job Duties:
- Preparation of legal entity review
- Support preparation of budget and forecast commercial SG&A
- Support co-ordination of audit activities
- Monthly SG&A accruals/ prepayment journals for truck commercial team
- Monthly SG&A meetings for truck commercial team
- Provide training & manage finance intern (various tasks)
- Co-ordination of physical inventory processes ensuring overall compliance with policies
- Support adhoc tasks for Finance Manager
- Preparation of monthly/pension payments
- Preparation of adhoc presentations as and when required
- Preparation of budget and forecast for various legal entities
- Oversee compliance checklists/ rep letters with intern
- Prepare 2 x monthly refurb files, journals and PRF files
- Preparation IHL managerial accounts/ quarterly disclosures
- Preparation of monthly statutory accounts and balance sheets
- AP, Cash & payment runs
- Reconciliation of accounts of smaller legal entity
- Quarterly reporting preparation of the larger entity and adhoc reports
- Smaller legal entities with production of monthly accounts from start to finish - P&L, B/S
- Smaller legal entity service charge and utility recharging, budgeting and reconciliation.
- Statutory account support and preparation including liaising with Auditors
Job Requirements:
- AAT or part qualified preferred or experienced accounts person
- SAP experience would be an advantage
- Good Excel experience required
- Large company with big numbers and varied duties with process driven month end closure
Job Type: Full Time, 37.5 Hours a Week - 12 Months Maternity Cover
Area: Basildon, Essex
Hours: Monday to Friday – 37.5 hours a week
Salary: £42,000 - £48,000 PA
